An incisive portrait of a business woman
torn between duty and desire

Hong Po Kei's (Sheren Tang) engagement with Wuxi rice baron Tseung Kiu (Yueh Wah) broke off many years ago when a natural disaster hit the country. Later when the country was running out of food supply her whole family was killed and she become a criminal. Over the years, Po Kei has never got over Tseung Kiu. She has been trying to prove he is not as heartless as the others think. Fate has it that they meet again and she becomes his fourth wife. KIU's first and second wives, Yan Fung Yee (Tse Suet Sum) and Pang Kiu (Sheung Tin Ngor, Kiki), always make things difficult for Po Kei. Po Kei, who is an extremely clever person who never wastes time on trivial things, turns every threat into an opportunity. This makes Tseung Kiu appreciate her wisdom and persistence. He entrusts his business to her and tells her to find a suitable successor for him before he dies.

Despite all the attacks in the family, Po Kei manages to keep the business in good shape. She has never forgotten Tseung Kiu's last wish, too. By chance, she discovers that Tsueung Pit Ching (Ron Ng), Tseung Kiu's second son, is not really a playboy but an upright person loved by everyone in the shop. She therefore guides and helps him in every possible way, but her efforts are met with Chai Kau's (Lai Yiu Cheung) challenges. Chai Kau seeks vengeance for being mistreated and wants a pay back from TSEUNG family. After rounds after rounds of battle wits and actual fights, Po Kei and Chai Kau begin to appreciate each other. Chai Kau even falls for Po Kei as time goes by.

紅蝴蝶 - Ron Ng
As much as I am not a fan of Ron's singing, he really sang well in this themesong.. Isn't it?

柴九篇 - Wayne Lai's

良心篇 - Sheren Tang's

I totally agree with this, have rice, eat rice (:

And I have tendency to like such dramas, so there's a mini tinge of biasness over here!

Finally we see Wayne Lai as the first male lead after 20 over years right? He's really an outstanding actor, and I am pleased to see his seeds bear some fruit after so long... I will definitely give this series a try, just to show my support for him *thank god the rental shop near my house is not closing down anymore cos the contract is renewed...*

After seeing the preview, I felt a sense of "deja vu" [like mentioned by qing since I can't find a better word to describe this feeling] This drama looks so familiar to that of Secret Chamber of Sorrows and War and Destiny combined together!!! But anyway, I think there's gonna be good stuffs coming, so I am really looking forward [I know it's up to episode 4, but i haven't finished Man in Charge yet!!!!!! Still at the part when Kate's character died *oops spoiler*]

Wayne+Sheren [undoubtedly one of the best few actors in TVB]+battling of wits+revenge = love?

Btw, there's something wrong with my chinese, HOW DO YOU READ THIS TITLE IN CANTO AND CHINESE? HHAHAHA. SORRY! some help here?

Anyway, I don't think I am writing any review for King of Snookers, it's quite boring towards the back so I don't see a point of myself even writing a long review about it. (: Because I don't think I have much comments about that drama as things are quite mediocre to a certain extent...
