TVB Warehouse Series 2006 and 2007.

Here are some of the Warehouse series in 2006 and 2007 [so far]. I haven't watched all of them yet.. I must blog to give some of the warehouse series justice.

Warehouse 1:

Name: Face to Fate [2006]

Cast: Frankie Lam, Selena Li, Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, John Chiang, Nancy Wu ETC..
Short intro: It's a story about The Good and The Bad in the pulligistic world. And how they fought each other.. And some kind of mission going around in there... To find 5 talents..

Why was it warehoused?:
- Frankie Lam is boring [don't you all realise his series are always warehoused?]
- People won't want to see Raymond's white hair, cos he will look too DARK [ok Im trying to be funny]
- Hong kong-ers do not like Fantasy typed stories

Chances of escaping the warehouse = Around 20 %
Why?:
- Frankie Lam is not in TVB anymore [oh no]
- Frankie Lam might be lucky. I mean, Herbalist's Manual and Ten Brothers got out of warehouse. [Maybe not anymore - Remember? he left.]
- It's already aired in their cable channels! [it's the end]
- Fantasy stories like Ten Brothers got out of the warehouse! And Ten Brothers was such a HIT!

Warehouse 2:

Name: Au Revoir Shanghai [2006]

Cast: Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Anne Heung, Shirley Yeung, Power Chan, Sonija Kwok
Intro: Click here!!!

Why was it warehoused?:
- The storyline is simply too BORING.
- There are too many Bosco series going around then... [must give others some chance]

Chances of getting out of the warehouse: Almost 0%.
Why?:
- The storyline is simply boring.
- Hong Kong-ers might not be attracted to triad shows of the 30s.. [From ratings, I see that many people prefer FAMILY type and DETECTIVE type shows]

Warehouse 3:

Name: The Price of Greed [2006]

Cast: Sammul Chan, Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui, Shirley Yeung, Kingdom Yuen ETC..

Intro: It's a show about how people lie. Sammul Chan is the bad guy in there.

Why was it warehoused?:
- They think that Kate Tsui can't act [Im sorry to Kate's fans. But it's kinda true.. Although she's really pretty..]
- Too many Bosco Wong.. [As I said above]

Chances of getting out of the warehouse: I'm not sure
Why?:
- Period drama is not the "in" thing. Don't you all realise? In this blog post, there are 3 period dramas being warehoused [OMG, no Modern dramas!]
- Yours truly have not watched the series yet
- It might get out of the warehouse as these 4 leads are the more heavily promoted stars in TVB.

Warehouse 4:

Name: Heavenly In-Laws [2007]

Cast: Nancy Sit, Yuen Wah, Joey Leung, Linda Chung

Intro: It's about many gods vs 1 human. A love-comedy.

Why was it warehoused?:
- Fantasy like dramas not the "in" thing
- Period dramas not the "in" thing too
- Joey Leung has TOOOOOOO many negative reports about himself.

Chances of getting out of the warehouse: Quite high
Why?:
- Linda Chung is heavily promoted.
- It's rare to get Yuen Wah to film a TVB series [I think]
- Nancy Sit has got quite a bit of 'face' in TVB
- The Joey Leung negative tabloids are fading away already

Warehouse 5:

Name: The Slicing of the Demon [2007]

Cast: Sunny Chan, Michael Tse, Bernice Liu, Angela Tong, Yueh Hua

Intro: It's about mixing up marriages etc.. And you won't know who is the ultimate baddie at the end of the series. [I don't know too. I'm only halfway through the series. Busy with studies..]

Why was it warehoused?:
- Fantasy like series you see...
- The cast is not strong enough [Don't get me wrong. I like the 4 leads ok..]
- The storyline is too complicated.

Chances of getting out of the warehouse: 50%
Why?:
- Bernice Liu is gaining popularity.
- Angela Tong is popular too.
- Michael Tse is a good actor
- They feel bad after warehousing most of Sunny Chan's series. [Don't you all realise?!]

Warehouse 6:

Name: Devil's Disciples [2007]

Cast: Kevin Cheng, Bosco Wong, Bernice Liu, Sharon Chan, Shirley Yeung, Wayne Lai

Intro: Click HERE! Oh ya, and an EXTREMELY detailed review done by yours truly. It's a series about swords and kung fu.

Why was it warehoused?:
- Too much of Bosco *I realised series with him as the 1st male lead are all warehoused*
- This series is simply too goofy.
- Too many exaggerated kung-fu involved???

Chances of getting out of the warehouse: Quite high
- The cast is quite strong. I mean, plus Wayne Lai [he rocks in the series], of course it's gonna be a hit!
- I think this series is good. [ok, minus the ending]

That is all for today. =) Im supposed to study now.
