TVB series On the First Beat.

The poster. How I wish I have the long and big one.

Ooh. A sequel to The Academy. They filmed a sequel because The Academy WAS REALLY GOOD. And it ended up changing all the main casts. Only Sammul, Ron and Chin Ka Lok remained, and they added Sonija Kwok [Fiona Sit died in the series! Cruel], Michael Tao [Michael Miu died in the series!!!!!], Joey Yung [Don't know why is Tavia not inside] and Kate Tsui [omg. She's pretty, but I don't like her acting personally. Don't throw darts at me.] and blah blah blah.

Oh! Kenny Kwan is in the series! He's so handsome!!! =P

Shocking that this series has the almost same ratings as The Green Grass of Home, given the amount of advertising this series had... 30 points, considering that it's prequel had a higher ratings, I have the reason to believe that On the First Beat is not as good as The Academy. *I have not watched it yet. The trailer looks good, but I'm not so sure. So I shall not conclude so fast yet*. Ok, enough of crap. Enjoy the stuffs below.

Cast: Ron Ng [oh yay!], Sammul Chan [oh yay!], Michael Tao, Sonija Kwok, Joey Yung, Kate Tsui

Introduction:
After months of intensive training in the cadet school, Chung Lap Man (Ron Ng) and Lee Pak Kiu (Sammul Chan) have successfully became qualified police officers and are deployed to the same police station. Pak Kiu's girlfriend (Fiona Sit) loses her life in an operation, and this mishap also marked the end of Lap Man and Pak Kiu's friendship. It turned out that Cheung King Fung (Michael Tao) was the principal target of the above mentioned operation. Pak Kiu even discovered the secret behind his girlfriend's death [omg].

Lap Man has a devoted admirer Man Ching (Kate Tsui), a cousin of his. However, he falls in love with Cheung Nim Yan (Joey Yung) instead. Pak Kiu falls in love with King Fung's ex-wife Yuen Wai Ni (Sonija Kwok) who is still in close contact with King Fung.

Challenges of work, friendship and love are stretching the lads to the limit. How could the buddies cope with all the stress?
